Join actor, director and teaching artist Alex Butt for a week-long intensive focusing on how to make a monologue. Aimed at students who live and breathe drama, this holiday workshop will teach students how to write, direct and perform their own monologues.
You’ll learn how to create your own work by exploring and interrogating the most-loved monologues in the theatrical canon; from William Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams and the work of Australia’s best playwrights like Michael Gow and Louis Nowra. At the end of the week the group will showcase the work that they have written, directed and performed in front of a live audience of family and friends.
Alex graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) and has a Master of Applied Theatre Studies from UNE.
